In 2016, while getting ready for a rockfish trip, I spotted a spent .30-06 casing on the floor and had a simple idea: add a hook. After a little tinkering, the first Fishing Armory Bullet Lure was born. What started as a fun experiment quickly proved itself on the water, consistently outfishing traditional jigs and even landing the first lingcod on a bullet lure. That unforgettable trip inspired the creation of Fishing Armory, where we craft unique, high-performing fishing lures—from 22lr trout spinners to heavy-duty 25mm jigs—that are built to catch fish and stand out.

When I'm on the water fishing for rockfish and lingcod, I have a 2-step system that consistently helps me catch nice fish. Whether I'm on a party boat or a private boat, I’ve had great success with this approach over the years. To begin, I always have two rods rigged and ready for every stop.
